Event Title: The Mindful Athlete Orientation

The Mindful Athlete is adapted from the experiential program founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. His research has shown to have a profound affect on the regulation of the mind and subsequent effects in emotional and physical health. The practice of mindfulness is a moment-to-moment skill that improves clarity and precision by integrating the mind, body and spirit. Peak performance is born out of such moments.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy follows the protocol based on 10 years of clinical research that highlights the learned skill of "mindful attention". This skill coupled with cognitive tools offers a powerful alternative to the rumination and negative thought patterns often responsible for the downward spiral into depression. Learn these simple mindfulness techniques in a supportive environment with hands-on instruction and cognitive skill-building exercises. Book, workbook, and CD included.

Event Title: RICE: Restoring Integrity by Commitment & Enlightenment
